Abstract

This study addresses the attractiveness of financial centers with a primary focus on the mutual fund industry and aims to disentangle the reasons for their relative attractiveness. In order to achieve this, the thesis sheds light on the quality of the macroeconomic business environment and its relationship to influencing location factors over time. The research presented promotes an understanding of the decision-making process on the part of financial companies and allows for several conclusions.
