Abstract
In this paper we propose a key pre-distribution scheme using combinatorial design. The network is assumed to be heterogeneous and the rectangular grid structure of the network is non-uniform. During key distribution phase, nodes are placed in the rectangular grid to form a virtual network. The actual network consists of the nodes along with their location in the target region. However, the deployment strategy and the key distribution technique indicate high connectivity of the network. Our scheme demonstrates superior performance compared to the existing similar schemes.
