Abstract
The principles discussed in this chapter relate to accounting and finance, both of which touch up on business organizations during various moments of their life cycles, from their creation to their operation and dissolution. Many of the principles described below prove key to later discussions involving choice of entity, the tax treatment of business owners, and raising capital to finance business operations.
