Zusammenfassung

Antithrombotika (Antikoagulantien, Thrombozytenaggregationshemmer) werden bei Thrombosen, Embolien und arteriellen Gefäßkrankheiten mit unterschiedlichen therapeutischen Schwerpunkten eingesetzt. Die akute Antikoagulation mit Heparin und die nachfolgende Gabe oraler Vitamin-K-Antagonisten ist die Standardtherapie für akute Venenthrombosen und Lungenembolien. Daneben werden Vitamin-KAntagonisten bzw. direkte Thrombin- und Faktor Xa-Antagonisten zur Prophylaxe kardiogener Hirnembolien bei Vorhofflimmern und bei arteriosklerotisch bedingten Karotisstenosen angewendet.
