Zusammenfassung
In Deutschland werden jährlich mehr als 200.000 Menschen nach einem Schädel-Hirn-Trauma (SHT) stationär im Krankenhaus behandelt. Häufigste Ursache sind Verkehrsunfälle, gefolgt von Stürzen. Anhaltende Gedächtnisstörungen gehören zu den häufigsten Spätfolgen nach SHT. Gedeckte Schädel-Hirntraumen führen zu vorübergehenden – anterograden und retrograden – Amnesien.
Bei Patienten nach schwererem SHT stellt die Gedächtnisstörung nur eine Facette eines multidimensionalen Beschwerdebildes dar, hinzu treten Störungen von Aufmerksamkeits- und Exekutivfunktionen, emotionale und Wesensänderungen sowie somatische Symptome wie Dysarthrie, Ataxie und Spastik. Es konnte gezeigt werden, dass die Kombination von kognitiven und psychotherapeutischen Interventionen das Ausmaß der psychosozialen Integration verbessert.
