Die Dimension der Zellen (20–50 μm) ermöglicht ein schonendes Einfrieren in flüssigem Stickstoff auf −196 °C, die nahezu unbegrenzte Lagerung bei diesen Temperaturen und das jederzeitige Auftauen der Zellen bei Bedarf.
