Abstract

Ferroelectric materials, or ferroelectrics for short, are usually complex oxide dielectrics with multiple functionalities. Their physical properties including polarization, permittivity etc. are generally susceptible to changes of temperature, mechanical strain and external electromagnetic field. Specifically, the ferroelectrics with a permittivity dependent on external electric field are a subset of the thermal sensitive pyroelectrics, which are in turn a part of the piezoelectrics with electrical response to applied mechanical field [52].
