Abstract
The main aim of this chapter is a study of further aspects of triangular norms. However, we like to do it in a varied and a bit non-standard way growing out of applications and practice. We therefore begin with a presentation of the basics of flexible querying in databases, one of classical areas of applications of fuzzy sets. Some questions arising from flexible querying combined with the use of t-norms are then treated in Section 3.2 as a natural pretext and inspiration for analyzing a few more advanced issues in t-norms. We mean classification and generators of t-norms and t-conorms, induced negations, and complementary t-norms and t-conorms.
