Zusammenfassung

Prinzipiell sind die Endoprothesen für das humeroradiale Gelenk von denen zu trennen, die vor allem das humeroulnare Hauptgelenk ersetzen.

Die Partialprothese für das humeroradiale Gelenk bzw. das Radiusköpfchen findet ebenso wie die Hemiprothese (distaler Humerusersatz) ganz überwiegend in der Traumatologie ihren Einsatz. Als Endoprothesen, die das Gelenk nur teilweise ersetzen, lehnen sie sich an die konstruktiven Besonderheiten des Ellenbogentotalersatzes an und sind in diesem Sinne als Unterkapitel anzusehen.

Die konstruktive Herausforderung stellt der Totalersatz dar, dessen primär unterschiedlichen technischen Konzeptionen in zunehmendem Maße deutliche Gemeinsamkeiten aufweisen.
