Abstract

In this paper, an OFDM pulse burst waveform is investigated that enables combining pulse-to-pulse frequency agility and Doppler processing. The number of subcarriers for the baseband OFDM has been evaluated first. The use of a single subcarrier gives the best resolution performance at the cost of very poor spectrum occupancy. The extreme case of a maximum number of subcarriers is a good trade-off. It has been used to analyze three patterns for frequency agility.
