Abstract

Digital beam-forming (DBF) technology is one of the popular radar technologies. The performance of DBF is greatly affected by the consistency of receiving channel. In this paper, a simplified algorithm is proposed to calibrate the inconsistency of the channels, and an efficient method to implement the proposed algorithm based on FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) and DSP (Digital Signal Processor) is introduced. Simulation and experiments results are given to demonstrate the efficiency of the algorithm.
