Abstract
The development of macroeconometric models in Netherlands was under the influence of J. Tinbergen, who lead the Central Planning Bureau (CPB), where these activities were concentrated.
They constructed series of annual models in 50s and 60s, that were intensively used in evaluation the policy proposals. In the 80s quarterly models were developed starting with Driehuis model, then building KOMPAS and FKSEC models.
These activities were continued in the 90s and later, when the models JADE and SATE were built.
The macroeconometric activities were also developed at the Central Bank, where the MORKMON model was constructed in the early 80s and at some universities—of Amsterdam (annual SECMON model) and of Groningen.
