Learning Chest Imaging

Abstract

The chest or thoracic wall can be affected by a wide variety of pathological processes. Radiological imaging techniques have a major role in the detection, localization and characterization of these processes. The plain chest radiography remains the primary imaging technique in the study of these diseases, but the use of CT and MRI have greatly facilitated the localization and characterization. This chapter describes the most common diseases affecting the chest wall and soft tissues.
