Abstract

A post-filtering technique for enhancing acoustic echo cancelation (AEC) system is proposed in this paper, the proposed filter takes in the output of the conventional AEC system and estimates the percentage of the residual error, with respect to the reference signal. This percentage of residual error is terms as “leakage” and is used in adjusting adaptation step size and calculating the post-filter gain. The proposed technique improves the convergence speed and performance of the conventional AEC systems and is simple to implementation.
