Abstract
In the present study, a home monitoring healthcare system for elderly and chronic patients has been proposed. System was developed for three types of users: the patient, doctor and guardian. The system is adapted for continuous measurement of biomedical signals, depending on the patient’s disease. The system analyzes the collected information and in case of detection dangerous events inform physician and guardian. A key role in the system has a mobile device, which allows exchange and visualization of data to the users. In detail the role of a tablet with the software which supports a physician visits in a patient home was described. We developed a special protocol for exchanging information between system devices via Bluetooth. Additionally special security features to protect data exchange were introduced. Software part of the system was made using modern technologies such as JavaFX for central unit and Android for mobile devices.
