Novel Variables for Studying the Drell-Yan Transverse Momentum

  • Mika Vesterinen
Part of the Springer Theses book series (Springer Theses)

In this chapter, various alternative variables are proposed, that are sensitive to the same physics as the \(p^{\ell \ell }_T\) , but are less susceptible to resolution and event selection efficiency. Most of these variables are inspired by the simple fact that particle angles are better measured than particle energies/momenta.
