Abstract
A. Thesaurus. The notion of ‘information’ is a fundamental category, but it is hard to define. Information is usually defined as a set of data that can be generated, transferred, accumulated, perceived, or used. Information by itself is not material, but it is a property of matter, like its discreteness and movement, for example. Any object, phenomenon, or event that may cause a variety of interactions and states of many different elements can be a carrier of information.
