Zusammenfassung
Etwa 5–8% aller erwachsenen Frauen leiden irgendwann in ihrem Leben unter einer rezidivierenden vaginalen Candidiasis (Sobel 2007), die über Jahre anhalten kann und für die betroffenen Frauen eine außerordentliche Belastung darstellt. Im Allgemeinen lässt sich bei den betroffenen Frauen kein Risikofaktor finden.
