Zusammenfassung

Leistung ist das bis heute am intensivsten erforschte thematische Feld der Motivationspsychologie. Zu keinem anderen finden sich so viele empirisch überprüfte Theorien (für einen Überblick siehe Brunstein u. Heckhausen, 2010). Worin liegen die Gründe dafür? Sind doch Anschluss (► Kap. 4) und Macht (► Kap. 5) nicht minder sozial bedeutsame Bereiche menschlichen Zielstrebens.
