Transdisciplinary Care for Elderly Surgical Patients
This chapter explores the differences between the traditional multidisciplinary approach and the transdisciplinary approach in the care of the elderly surgical patient. Transdisciplinary approach is superior in providing integrated care to the patient. It, however, demands a greater understanding to team approach and requires reorganization of roles and mind-set in individuals of the team.
