Zusammenfassung
Die adäquate Ernährung von Kindern und Jugendlichen mit einer pädiatrisch hämatologisch onkologischen Erkrankung stellt eine große Herausforderung dar. Krebs ist nach den Unfällen eine der häufigsten Todesursachen bei Kindern, und die Inzidenz maligner Erkrankungen nimmt bei Kindern stetig zu (GEKID, 2012). Anders als bei Erwachsenen, bei denen die malignen Erkrankungen meist durch Karzinome hervorgerufen werden, entwickeln Kinder überwiegend Leukämien, Hirntumoren, Neuroblastome, Lymphome und Sarkome.
