Abstract
As it was described in Chapter 1, the knowledge implementation is concerned with learning of the visual knowledge in the context of the categorical structure of the learned categories of the visual objects and learning of the knowledge that is associated with understanding of the content of the text. In this Chapter the categories of the visual objects will be briefly described. This description is based on the material presented in the first book concerning machine understanding [1]. As it was described in Chapter 1, a concept is a key element of the knowledge that is stored in our brain. The knowledge implementation is concerned with learning of the visual knowledge that is stored as a categorical structure of the learned categories of the visual objects. Categories of the visual objects supply knowledge about the visual aspects of the world. A category at the first level of the categorical chain is called the perceptual category 〈π〉 of a visual object, a category at the second level of the categorical chain is called the structural category 〈σ〉 of a visual object. The ontological categories 〈v 〉 begin from the third level of the categorical chain. The perceptual categories and structural categories are connected with the visual appearance of an object and are represented by visual knowledge. The structural element category can represent both the visual and sensory object.
