Abstract
As a hot technology for access network, EPON(Ethernet over Passive Optical Network) combines the advantage of PON technology and Ethernet technology. But the management of EPON has become problems needed to be resolved. The paper analysed the features of EPON and then chose the suitable network management protocol. Making use of Stratified thought and database technology, A scheme of EPON network management is detailed designed to manage the EPON. The design ensures that network element can normally effective operate.
