Abstract

The infrared scanner can be schematically described in the following way. Thermal radiation, entering the scanner, is collected by an optical system and sent into a temperature detector that is sensible to the selected IR band. The electrical signal generated by the detector is acquired by a video frame grabber and is processed by a dedicated electronic board in order to obtain a temperature map of the scanned scene.
