Abstract
This paper introduces the basic principle and protocol structure of WCDMA Iur interface. When Iur interface is implemented, how to recognize its service type is a challenge to developers. The matching-arithmetic is introduced in this paper to solve service type recognition puzzle. The max-rate-matching-arithmetic is proposed for TFS type recognition and eigenvalue-matching-arithmetic for TFCS type recognition. The core principle of these two matching arithmetics is that first constructing static mapping tables of TFS or TFCS, second computing max rate of TFS or eigenvalue of TFCS, finally service type recognition is achieved through matching max rate or eigenvalue with the static mapping tables. The matching arithmetic achieves service type recognition of DRNCs developed by different manufacturers and is significant to implement an opening WCDMA Iur interface.
