Abstract

The balancing of an inverted pendulum by moving a car along a horizontal track is a classic problem in the area of control. The mathematic model in state equation of the single inverted pendulum was built and property simulation analyses was completed. The PID controler and LQR optimal controler were desinged and the simulation control models were built using Matlab and the simulation analyses were accomplished. The GUI interface was designed using Matlab for the convenience of the adjustment of the controller parameters in the process of the simulation.
