Definition Präbiotika sind definiert als unverdauliche Nahrungsbestandteile, die durch bestimmte Bakterien der intestinalen Mikrobiota verstoffwechselt werden können, somit das Wachstum dieser Bakterien im Darm fördern und dadurch positive Effekte auf die Gesundheit des Wirtes haben.
