Abstract
This article introduced a new application of Reed-Solomon code on network transmission. Reed-Solomon code is a kind of Maximum Distance Separable code, it works in Galois Field. For a Galois Field GF(23),it can correct 1 block error. The paper gives the example of GF(23), from the analysis, C language code is also given. At last, real application scene is also presented. From the analysis, it can be seen that Reed-Solomon code can be well work in network communication.
