Abstract

The protection of Critical Information Infrastructures (CIIs) is usually framed in the larger context of protecting all the Critical Infrastructures (CIs) that a Nation or a group of Nations (as is the case of the European Union) consider as essential for the maintenance of vital societal functions, health, safety, security, economic or social well-being of citizens.
