Part of the Signals and Communication Technology book series (SCT)

The word “signal” carries a broad meaning in all the domains of knowledge gathering ranging from electronics and computer engineering to deaf-and-dumb communication. The word is uttered by every professionals ranging from journalists to linguists. In the present chapter we are trying to introduce signal and signal conditioning in a broader and elegant way. As the title of the book suggests, here we will take a close look not only on the aspects of analog to digital signal conversion as introduced in a pre-processor stage, but also we’ll address different facets of continuous wave communication or analog communication system and general signal processing in time, spatial and frequency domain.
