Abstract

The rapid increasing of elderly persons living alone presents a need for continuous monitoring to detect hazardous situations. Besides, in some cases, the forgetfulness of these people leads to disorientations or accidents. For these reasons, this paper introduces a system that brings together visual monitoring capabilities to track people and to perform activity detection, such as falls, with scheduling abilities to intelligently schedule urgent and non-urgent events.
