A Routing Algorithm in Wireless Sensor Network for Monitoring System of Machine Tools

Abstract

To decrease the delay of monitoring information on machining environment, a routing algorithm for the wireless monitoring system of machine tools is presented. The architecture of the monitoring system is designed and the details of mixed tree routing (MTR) are discussed according to the characteristic of the monitoring system of machine tools. Simulation results reveal that MTR not only outperforms tree routing(TR) in terms of hop-counts, but also is more energy-efficient than TR.
