In this short chapter, the usual and recommended diagnostic procedure in whiplash injury is briefly described. For this indication, special focus is given to functional neuroimaging devices and image analysis methods using statistical parametric mapping and the Talairach coordinate system. The role of the control group in neuroimaging studies is also discussed.
