Web-Based Interactive Animation for Children’s Safety Education: From 2D to 3D

Abstract

Web Based animation include 2D animation (such as Flash anima-tion) and 3D animation (such as WEB3D based animation), animation is a good tool for safety education of children; it can attract children to learn abstract safety regulations in an interactive manner. According to the psychological characteristic of children and constructivism learning theory, a method of de-veloping web-based animation on safety education of children is presented. The design of cartoon’s scenario, character’s dangerous behavior and interaction are introduced. 2D animations are exaggerative and suitable for the young children, 3D animation are realistic and suitable for exploration in different views.
