Abstract

IEEE 802.11ac system which increases data rate up to 1Gbps needs lower computational complexity. This paper proposes an ordered QRD-M algorithm of declining search times layer by layer to reduce the computational complexity in IEEE 802.11ac. The proposed scheme needs to order the channel matrix according to the principle of maximum post detection SNR. The post detection SNR can be calculated by the ZF or MMSE pseudo-inverse matrix G. The proposed scheme reduces the computational complexity by about 50 percent and achieves similar performance compared with QRD-M. Simulations verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
