Abstract

Article 24, entitled “UNESCO Secretariat”, is the last of three articles of Chapter VI on “Organs of the Convention” of the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and the Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions (2005). The Article nominates the Secretariat of UNESCO as Secretariat of the Convention and consequently as organ of the Convention, besides the Conference of Parties, the supreme body, and the Intergovernmental Committee. In doing so, the Convention became a treaty under the responsibility of UNESCO.
