Abstract
With the development of communications technology, recently, lots of attempts related to Advanced Public Transport System have come forth at home and abroad. Through the exploration of wireless communications, this paper puts forward a hybrid model of GPRS and WCDMA for the APTS. It introduces a UDP-based communications protocol named RTalk, which isolates data application from specific data transportation. The protocol can keep the efficiency and credibility of the communications process in wireless network environment. It has been used in the actual project and has achieved certain results.
