Abstract
This paper discusses the development of a conceptual model of Virtual Museum Environment (VME) using Image-based Model. The case study of this model is Terengganu Museum. In the early stage of the development, user needs were identified by observing the existing applications and collecting data through interviews and questionnaires. Virtual Reality Panoramic technique was found suitable to be implemented in this environment. The conceptual model can be used as a guideline in designing and evaluating virtual museum. To validate the conceptual model, factors such as easy to use, efficiency and satisfaction are used as the benchmark of the usability factor in virtual museum.
