Zusammenfassung

Bibliografische Daten lassen sich auch in relationalen Datenbanken verarbeiten. Ergänzend zu der linearen Datenorganisation in Midos werden in diesem Kapitel die relationale Organisation bibliografischer Daten als Normalisierungs- und Modellierungsprozess beschrieben und die Konsequenzen für das Information Retrieval dargestellt. Mit einem Beispiel zur Realisierung eines einfachen Datenbankentwurfs in einem relationalen Datenbankmanagementsystem schließen die Betrachtungen ab.
