When Deciding About Long-Term Strategies, Irreversibility is a Key Point

My starting point was the idea that climate change can reduce economic growth and activity and therefore also reduces the emission of greenhouse gases. This has a back action on climate change itself again. In my view, this is an important point. In most of the research work, we start from scenarios of economic growth and emissions of greenhouse gases, then look at the consequences for the climate and finally at the impacts. But the impacts do not feed back on the emissions we started with.
