The Development of College Students’ Stressors Questionnaire

Abstract

With stratified radom sampling method, 1337 undergraduates from 17 colleges and universities throughout the country took tentative survey of the stressors. The final college students’ stressors questionnaire was developed, based on item analysis, item screening,explorating factor analysis(EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis(CFA). The results showed that: (i) high reliability. The coefficient of internal consistency is 0.942, the spilt-half reliability is 0.872, and the test-retest reliability is 0.876. The coefficient of internal consistency is 0.635~0.907, the split-half reliability is 0.648~0.847, and the test-retest reliability is 0.625~0.896. (ii) good validity. In contruct validty, the correlation between each factor is 0.306~0.515, showing moderate correlation; the correlation between total score and each factor is 0.470~0.690.
