Multichannel Speech Enhancement with Filters

Speech Enhancement in the STFT Domain

Abstract

This chapter is a generalization of the previous one, where now the interframe correlation is taken into account in order to improve beamforming since speech signals are correlated at successive frames with the STFT. The signal model is the same as in Chapter 4, but the microphone array processing is different as explained below.

Notes

  1. 1.

We can use, if we like, different numbers of consecutive time-frames for different frequencies but to simplify the presentation, we stick with the same number L.
