Analysis of Mechanisms of Influence of Torque on Properties of Ring-Shaped Magnetic Cores, from the Point of View of Magnetoelastic Sensors Sensitivity
The paper presents analysis of consequences of the shearing stresses generated by torque in the ring-shaped magnetic core. In this analysis both compressive and tensile stresses generated by torque are considered, from the point of view of magnetoelastic Villari effect. As a result, changes of magnetic flux density in the core are predicted, on the basis of stress induced easy axis direction. These changes are particularly important from the point of view of development of magnetoelastic torque sensors based on ring-shaped magnetoelastic cores.
