Abstract

This paper want to introduce the situations of environmental compensation in western countries, so that China can do it better. This paper compared and analysed the concept, theory, understanding and practice of environmental compensation in China and western countries. We consider that the western Payment for Environmental Services generally had more solid theoretical foundation and legal basis, and domestic research has made a series of achievements, compared with the international research on the mechanism of the environmental compensation, the studies in China should do much more.
