Abstract

Contrary to the above discussion on the gold producing sites in the Egyptian Eastern Desert, for which we were able to follow a rough sequence from N to S, this is presently no longer the case for the sites in Sudan’s North-Eastern Desert (Nubia) or its hills along the Red Sea. The sites are therefore hereafter grouped according to either geographic or geologic sectors, within each of which, however, the same sequence from N to S is maintained (Fig. 6.1)
