Abstract
In Chap. 8 we have tried to formulate the reverberation, which in room acoustics is a phenomenon of high importance, with the means of modal analysis and we effectively failed. After we have demonstrated the application of the mirror source method for the evaluaion of sound fields in rooms (although up to now only in concave rooms) we expect that the mirror source method will be applicable also for the determination of the reverberation time of a room.
