Abstract
The facelift procedure has evolved for over a century. The particular techniques selected depend upon the type and extent of rejuvenation necessary. The ideal candidate for a mini facelift is a patient with early facial sagging. The patient should demonstrate a comprehension of the limitations of the mini lift procedure. The difference between a mini facelift and a facelift is that the mini facelift is less extensive causes less swelling and bruising therefore requiring less recovery time. The technique is described as well as possible complications. The mini lift is not a replacement for a classic facelift, but it provides an option for patients who do not present with advanced facial aging or those who are unwilling to undergo a more extensive procedure.
