Häufig ist es im Intensivtransport notwendig, zusätzliche medizinische Geräte mitzuführen, die im Rettungsdienst derzeit (noch) nicht regelmäßig eingesetzt werden. Das Spektrum reicht von Spritzen- und Infusionspumpen, Monitoren und Beatmungsgeräten bis hin zu kardialen Assist-Systemen.
