Abstract
The auscultation is the first analysis tool that has been used to evaluate the functional state of the heart and it has also been the first indicator used to send the patient to a specialist. In this project it was developed a digital stethoscope which captures, amplifies and filters a signal by an electronic card that transmits a digital signal without using any wireless to its software in a PC. This computer gets, filters, stores and analyses the auscultated sounds. The goal is to provide the medical personnel with an objective and reliable diagnostic aid which improves remarkably the reliability of the auscultatory technique and may also be used in applications of telemedicine.
