Die Anästhesiologie

Zusammenfassung

Erkrankungen der unteren Atemwege liegen in Industrienationen im oberen Drittel der Todesursachenstatistik. Die Inzidenz chronischer Lungenerkrankungen, v. a. der chronisch obstruktiven Lungenerkrankung (COPD), nimmt – trotz erheblicher Bemühungen zur Reduktion des Nikotinkonsums – weiter zu. Zukünftig wird daher eine steigende Zahl von Patienten mit geschädigter Lunge einen chirurgischen Eingriff und damit eine Anästhesie benötigen.
